Complaints
We take all complaints seriously. We will review your complaint and take appropriate action, which includes, but is not limited to:
If a User wishes to file a complaint following a session, it must be submitted within three clear UK business days. Otherwise, the Aficionado Rate from the booking will be released to the Aficionado. During a dispute, Questionpoint will temporarily hold the Aficionado Rate until the matter is resolved.
Disputes

We do not monitor or manage individual relationships — our role is to provide the platform for sessions to take place. You are solely responsible for your interactions during sessions, including any communications, agreements, or arrangements made. Questionpoint is not liable for any disputes, claims, damages, or losses arising from these interactions, whether on or off the platform.
However, at our sole discretion, we may offer limited support in resolving a dispute — for example, by facilitating communication via email. If Questionpoint chooses to investigate a complaint, all parties are expected to cooperate fully. Questionpoint reserves the right to make a final, reasonable determination based on the information provided.
Please review our Terms & Conditions for further information about complaints and disputes.
The Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and other key policies are always available on the Questionpoint website, each showing the date of their most recent update. We encourage you to review these documents regularly to stay informed. If we make any material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account.
The platform is designed for two types of users: Next Gen and Aficionados.
Next Gen
Are you:
If so, Questionpoint is for you. Sign up as a Next Gen!
Aficionado
Are you a current student, graduate, or working professional who wants to share your experience and guide others — while also monetising your time?
Questionpoint is for you too. Sign up as an Aficionado!
At present, Questionpoint focuses on the fields of Law and Medicine, but we’re actively expanding to include more disciplines — so stay tuned!
Upon a user signing up as an Aficionado ("Applicant Aficionado"), they will go through an onboarding process where we diligence their credentials which may include a request from the Applicant Aficionado of:
While Questionpoint does its best, verification of Aficionados relies on user-supplied information and publicly available internet sources and, therefore, may not always be fully accurate. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for any inaccuracies, including whether an Aficionado holds the claimed credentials, is not a student or graduate of the claimed university or course, or lacks the claimed professional experience.
Other than the initial onboarding process, Questionpoint does not investigate or independently verify users. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting criminal checks, character assessments, or any other suitability checks for registration. All users acknowledge this, and understand that any reliance on an Aficionado's stated credentials or experience is at their own discretion and risk. Questionpoint shall not be held liable in this regard.
For further information, please see the Terms and Conditions.
Questionpoint is a tech platform with the mission to build a community that enables meaningful knowledge-sharing to help the Next Gen get answers to their questions and pursue their goals, while giving Aficionados the opportunity to share and monetise their experiences and insights. We believe knowledge should be passed down, built upon and made accessible.

No, Questionpoint is not an education company. We are a tech platform that enables seamless, one-on-one interactions between Next Gens and Aficionados. While conversations on the platform may cover topics related to careers, professional life, academics, educational courses or university life (to name a few), we are not advocating for any profession or course. Questionpoint does not provide expert advice, nor do we offer tutoring or mentorship, and we do not claim authority in any particular field — we simply connect people. Our focus is on creating a transparent, friendly, and community-driven space where the Next Gen and Aficionados can connect via video chat sessions to exchange real-world insights and lived experiences.
We’re delighted that you’re interested in working with us! You may contact us at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contact-us and select "Vacancies" as your Contact Reason. There you may attach your CV and briefly explain any particular roles you would like to inquire about. We may also decide to publish any vacancies on job boards such as (but not limited to) LinkedIn Jobs and Indeed.

Please review our Terms and Conditions for more details.
Yes — and we encourage you to do so! The more visibility your profile has, the more likely you are to receive session bookings. However, please ensure that you only share your profile after your onboarding is complete and your profile has been officially approved.
All promotions must be done in accordance with Questionpoint's Terms and Conditions.
To become an Aficionado, you must meet one of the following criteria:
If you meet either condition, we welcome you to register at www.questionpoint.co.uk/signup as an Aficionado and complete the registration form.
After submitting your form, we’ll be in touch to request supporting material for onboarding — this may include documents to verify your academic or professional background.
Once your profile has been reviewed and you’ve completed onboarding, you’ll officially become an Aficionado — ready to start sharing insights and earning from your experiences!
Great question — being an Aficionado on Questionpoint is a unique opportunity to easily monetise your experiences and insights.
As an Aficionado, you can:
Sign up at www.questionpoint.co.uk/signup to get started.
We also recommend reviewing the Questionpoint Master Guide for onboarding steps and tips on delivering great sessions.
Yes, absolutely! As an Aficionado, you have complete control over your hourly rate. It’s your time and knowledge—so you decide what it’s worth!
Keep in mind that competitive pricing may influence how many bookings you receive.
Your rate is clearly displayed on your profile, so Next Gens can make informed decisions when choosing who to book with.
You’ll receive 100% of your Aficionado Rate, which is the hourly rate you set. For example, if your rate is £30/hour:
All payments are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
You can enable Holiday Mode in your account settings. This will ensure your profile remains active on Questionpoint but will temporarily pause your availability until you're back and ready to take sessions again. Once you're ready to resume, simply turn Holiday Mode off and your availability will be restored.
Please ensure that you update your schedule and availability periodically to avoid sessions conflicting with other commitments.
Yes, you’re in charge of your schedule!
As an Aficionado, you can set time slots that work best for you and update your availability anytime, as long as no sessions are already booked during those times.
This flexibility helps you fit sessions around your other commitments with ease.
Do your best — remember this is not mentoring or tutoring — Aficionados join Questionpoint to answer questions and share their insight and experiences.
We encourage the Next Gen to lead the conversation and to arrive on the video chat prepared with questions, so all you have to do is honestly answer them. That said, listening carefully and understanding where they’re coming from will help you respond meaningfully. Put yourself in their shoes and consider the journey they are embarking on, and remember that your advice can truly guide them. Identify their goals and work through your advice with that in mind — take your time and explain things clearly and thoughtfully.
If needed, don’t hesitate to guide the Next Gen back to the Example Questions page, and recommend they book a follow-up session once they’ve had a chance to clarify their goals.
No — there’s no limit. The only constraint is your own availability.
If Next Gens find your sessions valuable and begin booking more frequently — that’s great news! Next Gens decide who to book based on your profile and the characteristics most important to them which may include experience, ratings, hourly rate, and available time slots.
Questionpoint places no limits on how many bookings you can accept — it’s entirely up to you how much you choose to take on.
While you may not be an expert in all topics raised during a video chat session, your insight may still be helpful. Be honest and polite with the Next Gen — explain that the question falls outside your direct expertise or that their expectations may be unrealistic, while remaining encouraging and respectful.
Have a go at answering the question and make clear that your response is based on your personal perspective or limited experience. Avoid guessing or providing information you’re unsure about — the goal is to guide, not mislead. Where appropriate, suggest where the Next Gen might find more reliable or specialised support — whether that’s through additional reading, university contacts, or booking another Aficionado with relevant expertise.
Your honesty builds trust — and even helping someone ask better questions or identify where to go next can be incredibly valuable.
There is no formula or structure — your role is to have a friendly and supportive conversation to respond to the Next Gen’s questions openly and helpfully.
Start by introducing yourself and give a brief overview of your background to set the tone, build rapport and create a welcoming environment.
While we encourage the Next Gen to come prepared, some may not feel confident to dive straight into the session or may require encouragement. Stay patient, approachable and supportive throughout the session.
Your insight and personal experience are what make the session valuable — just be yourself and share honestly.

Questionpoint does not impose specific guidelines — sharing personal experiences is a key part of what makes Questionpoint sessions valuable and relatable — but it must be done responsibly and within the boundaries set by our Terms and Conditions, which describe the scope of advice and provide guidance on proper conduct.
You are encouraged to share insights, stories, and lessons learned across a range of topics, including:
These anecdotes should be shared with the aim of informing and guiding the Next Gen. Be clear that what you share reflects your personal experience, and not a guarantee or universal rule. It’s also important to exercise judgment when discussing sensitive or subjective experiences.
Importantly:
The video chat sessions are designed to provide Next Gens with a safe, supportive environment to ask questions and receive meaningful guidance — your answers to their questions play a powerful role in that. Just be sure to use sound judgment and always clarify when something is your personal experience.
Helping a Next Gen user set goals is one of the most impactful things you can do as an Aficionado. Here’s how you can support them effectively:
Your goal isn’t to coach or mentor — it’s to share your perspective and guide the Next Gen in making clearer, more confident decisions by answering their questions.
While Questionpoint encourages honest and meaningful conversations, there may be times when a Next Gen shares sensitive or overly personal information. Here’s how to handle it:
We trust you to use sound judgment and keep the session on-topic, respectful, and supportive for both you and the Next Gen.
There are several ways to increase your chances of getting booked:
Great news, anyone can sign-up as a Next Gen!
Our typical Next Gen would be someone who is:
We welcome everyone who is actively exploring their future — whether you're applying to university, considering a new field of study, or planning to step into a profession. If you're curious, motivated, and looking to get answers to the questions that matter most from those who’ve already walked the path, you're exactly who we had in mind.
All available Aficionados can be found at www.questionpoint.co.uk/aficionado.
We’ve made it easy for you to filter through Aficionados with our user-friendly filtering system for both university and profession Aficionados. The filters include:

Profession
Once you find Aficionados who match your criteria:
By using these tools, we hope you find an Aficionado who’s the right fit to guide you forward!
If you are looking for an Aficionado from a specific university, profession or with a specific experience or other attribute which is not currently available, you may submit a request at the bottom of the page on www.questionpoint.co.uk/aficionados or at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contactus.
When viewing the profiles of the available Aficionados on our platform, you’ll find a dedicated section showing all the reviews and ratings they’ve received from previous Next Gen users who have booked video chat sessions with them. Please bear in mind that, as Questionpoint is a new platform, some Aficionados may not yet have many reviews. We hope this feature helps you make more confident and informed decisions when choosing who to book a session with.
Aficionados are here to answer your questions! On Questionpoint, the Next Gen leads the session and asks the questions most relevant to them in order to receive guidance and insight from Aficionados. Whether you're navigating university life, considering a specific course, applying for jobs, or planning your career path, Aficionados offer insight based on real-world experience.
Aficionados may answer your questions on:
- Application processes and tips
- Interview preparation
- Choosing the right institution
- University and industry specific questions
- Social and work-life balance
- and much more!
Explore available Aficionados at www.questionpoint.co.uk/availableaficionados, filter according to your desired criteria, and select the Aficionado who best matches your needs. Aficionados have discretion over the scope of questions permitted and they may set this out in their bios.
Each Aficionado brings their own background and strengths — some may be better suited to offer advice on university applications, others on workplace dynamics or specific industries. As such, don’t hesitate to explore multiple profiles to find the right fit.
All communication with Aficionados must take place through sessions on Questionpoint, and the Next Gen must not attempt to contact the Aficionado outside the platform.
Aficionados are here to answer your questions — they are not here to offer jobs or internships, or to guarantee access to any institution. For the best results, come prepared with specific goals and questions. This helps your Aficionado make the most of the session and tailor their insights to your needs.
If you need further guidance, check out the Example Questions page at www.questionpoint.co.uk/examplequestions and the Next Gen page at www.questionpoint.co.uk/nextgen.
Once you’ve completed your registration, you’ll be able to view each Aficionado's availability and book a video chat session during any of their open time slots.
All available Aficionados can be found at www.questionpoint.co.uk/availableaficionados.
As many as you like! Feel free to book sessions with as many different Aficionados as you’d like, exploring those with different backgrounds and experiences to gain insights based on your questions and find out the things most important and helpful to you.
We encourage Next Gens to come prepared by identifying their goals and having a clear idea of the questions they would like to ask and the topics which they would like to discuss. This will help you make the most of your time with the Aficionado. You can also visit our Example Questions page to get inspiration for questions you may consider asking.
We're glad you asked! Questionpoint is ideal for our Next Gen users who are aspiring university students or professionals — who are seeking clarity, confidence, and real-world insight. By using the platform, you can:

Absolutely. Questionpoint is a great way to explore your options. You can connect with university students and professionals to gain real insights into different academic and career paths, helping you make more informed and confident decisions.
Use Questionpoint to speak with people from a range of universities and at various stages of their careers to better understand what their day-to-day experiences are like.
If you’re not sure where to start, check out our Example Questions page at www.questionpoint.co.uk/example-questions — it’s designed to help you get the most out of each session, especially if you’re still figuring things out.
You can book a session with an Aficionado to get advice on, including but not limited to:
Your Aficionado could share personal experiences, practical advice and tailored insights to help you present your best self.
Remember to Check the Aficionado's bio for areas of expertise and topics they are comfortable discussing!
You can discuss a variety of topics, including:
Be sure to review the Aficionado's bio as they may list areas which they are particularly comfortable discussing and advising on.
No question is too basic or “out there” — this is your opportunity to gain real-world insights directly from someone who’s been there.
To make the most of your session, here are a few tips:
With preparation, you’ll get the most value from your session!
If you’re unsure where to start, here are a few ways to still have a productive and meaningful session:
The Aficionado is there to share their experiences and insight with you, so don’t feel pressured to have it all figured out beforehand.
To get the most out of your session, preparation is key. Before your call, take a few moments to reflect on your goals and think about what questions you have so you can seek guidance on how to achieve them. Have a clear idea of what you’re hoping to learn, and prepare a list of questions in order of priority. If you need inspiration, check out our Example Questions page.
Once the session begins, take the lead by briefly introducing yourself and clearly stating your main objectives and what you hope to learn. Let the Aficionado know what you’d like to focus on most, so they can tailor their advice to your needs. Sessions are most effective when there is a clear direction — and that starts with you.
Questionpoint is a friendly, welcoming space built around honest conversations and helpful insights. Don’t worry about being perfect — you’re here to find answers to your questions — be curious, open, and ready to learn.
Sessions are designed to be one-on-one between the Next Gen making the booking and the selected Aficionado. However, if the Next Gen is under 18, a parent or guardian is welcome to join the session to support them.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer refunds for unused time in a session. Once a session is booked, the full duration is reserved for you.
If you think you might need less time, consider booking a shorter session next time — sessions can be booked in 15-minute increments!
We're truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t go as expected. Your safety, comfort, and trust are our top priorities at Questionpoint.
All Aficionados are required to comply with our Terms and Conditions which require appropriate behaviour during video chat sessions, and we take any breaches very seriously. If you felt uncomfortable, disrespected, or encountered any unprofessional behaviour during your session, please report the incident to us immediately. You can do this by contacting us at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contact-us and selecting "Report a violation or file a complaint".
Once we receive your report, we’ll review it and respond as soon as possible, either with a resolution or to request further details to determine the appropriate action. We may take actions such as issuing warnings, suspending accounts, or permanently removing an Aficionado from the platform, depending on the nature of the violation.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to make sure your experience with Questionpoint is safe, respectful, and valuable.
Not every match will be perfect — and that’s completely okay. If you feel that the Aficionado isn’t the right fit for your needs, you can respectfully end the session and explore connecting with other Aficionados who may better align with your goals. However, please note that these situations are not eligible for a refund.
You are able to book sessions with as many Aficionados as you like. However, we also encourage you not to jump to conclusions too quickly. Sometimes, an Aficionado may offer valuable insights in a different aspect of your academic or career journey that might not be immediately obvious at the start of the session.
Make sure to filter through Aficionados and review their profiles to gather a perspective on their expertise.
If you’d like to share feedback about your experience, please consider leaving the Aficionado a review. Your input helps us improve the platform for everyone.

Put in other words, the Next Gens are the ones with questions and the Aficionados are the ones sharing answers based on their experience.
Yes, to help maintain a safe and responsible community, age requirements apply:
A session is the video chat between the Next Gen and the Aficionado. It's designed to be led by the Next Gen, who asks questions based on the Aficionado’s experience with university or their professional field.
Sessions are entirely user-driven — meaning the conversation can focus on whatever matters most to the Next Gen (subject to the Terms and Conditions), whether that’s application tips, career advice, or general guidance.
Session length depends on your booking — you can choose the duration in 15-minute increments, based on the Aficionado’s availability.
Need more time? No problem — you can always book a follow-up session!
Aficionados do not represent any university, company or other institution in which they may have studied, worked or had any other affiliation with.
Aficionados participate on Questionpoint in their personal capacity, sharing their own experiences, insights and advice. Their guidance is based on personal perspectives, not official endorsements or policies of any institution.
This independence is aimed at facilitating a friendly, flexible, and real-world conversation without the pressures often associated with formal interactions.
The cost of each session consists of
Aficionados set their own hourly rates, and sessions can be booked in 15-minute increments, with pricing calculated on a pro-rata basis.
You’ll always see a clear breakdown of the total cost — including the Aficionado Rate and Platform Fee — before you confirm and pay for your booking.
The Platform Fee is calculated as a percentage of the Aficionado Rate per the following:
For example, in respect of an Aficionado Rate set at:
- £20, the Platform Fee will be £4
- £100, the Platform Fee will be £11
We understand schedules can change and unpredictable situations happen — here’s how rescheduling and cancellations work on Questionpoint:
Attendees are expected to reasonably commit to scheduled sessions once a Booking is confirmed. However, if you need to reschedule or cancel, the following policies apply:
Attendees are allowed the following without incurring a cancellation fee:
Outside these allowances, a cancellation fee of 2.5% of the Booking Price will be charged to the cancelling party.
If you're having any difficulties with rescheduling or cancellations, please contact us at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contactus.

We're sorry to hear your session has been cancelled. The following will apply to you depending on your role:
You may also refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information at www.questionpoint.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.
We understand that things come up — here’s how we handle missed sessions on Questionpoint, whether you're a Next Gen or an Aficionado.
If you joined the session, you must wait a third of the scheduled session's duration for the other party to join (e.g., 20 minutes for 1hr sessions, 5 minutes for 15-minute sessions). If they don’t show up within that window, please take a screenshot or make a brief note to document the non-attendance and report it by contacting us at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contact-us. Following which:
We remind all Users of this policy in the booking confirmation email, so be sure to check your inbox after scheduling a session.
You may also refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information at www.questionpoint.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.
We take your safety and comfort on the platform very seriously. If at any point during a session — or while using Questionpoint in general — you experience unprofessional conduct, inappropriate comments, or any form of harassment, we urge you to report it immediately by contacting us at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contact-us.
All Questionpoint users agree to our Terms and Conditions, which set out our clear expectations around respectful and professional behaviour. If, after reviewing a report, we determine that a user has violated these standards, we reserve the right to take swift and appropriate action. This may include warnings, suspension, permanent removal from the platform, or where necessary, reporting to the relevant authorities.
Your experience matters, and we’re here to help ensure Questionpoint remains a safe, respectful, and valuable space for all users.
Payments made by the Next Gen to book a session (or credit their Questionpoint Wallet) contain the Platform Fee and Aficionado Rate. To the extent Questionpoint determines that a Next Gen is entitled to a refund due to a cancellation by an Aficionado, technical issues or for any other reason at Questionpoint's sole discretion — generally, only the Aficionado Rate will be refunded and credited into the Next Gen's Wallet.
Per the Terms and Conditions, refunds are not issued for technical issues caused by an attendee’s own equipment, software, or internet connection. If a technical issue arises and, after investigation, Questionpoint determines that it was due to a failure on our side, we may — at our sole discretion — issue a refund for the Aficionado Rate and/or the Platform Fee. Refunds in such cases will typically be issued in the form of Questionpoint Credit.
Please note that no refunds will be issued if a User is found to have violated our Terms and Conditions or acted fraudulently. Questionpoint also reserves the right to offset any refunds owed to a User against any other payments due from that User to Questionpoint.
We encourage you to review our full Terms and Conditions for further information at www.questionpoint.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.
Currently, Questionpoint is focused on Law and Medicine. We’re actively working to expand this list to include many more academic fields and professions.
If you’re looking for someone from a specific university or profession that isn’t yet listed on the platform, you can submit a request on Curiosity Hub via www.questionpoint.co.uk/curiosity-hub, where you can also stay up to date with the latest news from Questionpoint.
After each session, attendees will be permitted to leave a review for one another, including a rating. The review format may change from time to time. Aficionados are encouraged to provide feedback to Next Gens during the session as part of the conversation.
Users are also encouraged to leave feedback for Questionpoint — including comments, suggestions, ideas or improvements — at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contact-us.
Yes — all communications must take place strictly within the Questionpoint platform, which currently means only through scheduled video chat sessions.
Users must not contact one another outside of Questionpoint for any reason, including but not limited to sending offers, questions, suggestions, or other unsolicited communications — whether directly or indirectly. Any attempt to move communication off-platform (e.g. via social media, email, or messaging apps) is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of our Terms and Conditions.
For your safety and privacy, stalking, harassment, or any form of harm — on or off the platform — will not be tolerated.
At this time, Questionpoint does not offer an internal chat or messaging function. All interactions should be scheduled as video sessions, with any necessary follow-ups booked via additional sessions.
Maintaining professional boundaries helps preserve a trusted, respectful environment for everyone. If another user attempts to contact you outside the platform, please report it immediately at www.questionpoint.co.uk/contact-us.
